Who we are
In this policy, “BlendDesk”, “we” and “us” mean the team that operates this website and the BlendDesk service, a customer-conversation platform for businesses.
To reach us about this policy or your data, use the contact page.
You can also write to our contact form.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to run this website and to answer you:
- Details you send through our forms: your name, email address, company, role, company website, team size, the channels you use, and whatever you write in the message or needs field. We also record the language of the page and that you acknowledged this policy.
- Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting servers may log your IP address, browser and device details, the page requested and the time.
- Information used to prevent abuse: a random request identifier, the time you opened the form, and a hidden field that people never see but automated scripts tend to fill. Your IP address is used to limit repeated submissions; it is held in memory in hashed form and is not stored with your submission.
- Usage statistics, only if analytics is enabled on this site and you allow it. Analytics events never include what you type into forms.
Please don't send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal data through our forms.
How we use it
- To read and answer your demo request or message, and to follow up about it.
- To keep the website secure and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, only with your consent.
- To meet legal obligations and to keep reasonable business records.
We do not sell your personal data.
Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on your request (to respond to you), your consent (for analytics) and our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
Service providers
We use service providers to run this website. Depending on how it is configured, they may include:
- a hosting provider that serves the website and keeps technical logs;
- a spam-protection service (Cloudflare Turnstile), if enabled, which loads a script from Cloudflare and processes technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots;
- an email delivery service or an internal webhook that passes your submission to our team;
- an analytics provider, only after you have agreed.
Providers receive only what they need for their part of the work. Some of them may process data in other countries. Fonts and scripts for the site itself are served from this website.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send through our forms for as long as needed to respond to you and for our business records, and then delete it. Technical logs and analytics data are kept by the relevant provider under its own settings. We don't publish fixed retention periods on this page.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising cookies. When analytics is configured, it stores one item in your browser's local storage, your analytics choice (bd_analytics_consent), after you answer the banner.
If you allow analytics, the analytics provider may store identifiers according to its own documentation. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; the banner will then ask again.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw consent you gave earlier.
To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact page and choose “Something else” as the topic. To have what you sent through this website deleted, follow the steps in Data deletion. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we act on a request.
You can also write to our contact form.
You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us, including encrypted connections and restricted access to stored submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is intended for people who work in or run businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
The BlendDesk application
This policy does not cover the BlendDesk application. When a business uses BlendDesk to talk to its customers, that business decides what to collect and keep, and BlendDesk handles the conversation data on its behalf. If you messaged such a business and have a question about your conversation, please ask that business first. See also Data deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
